Having walked away from Christianity as a teenager in the 1970’s, Rod then as an agnostic experienced an unexpected intimate and tangible encounter with God in the small west Texas town of Lamesa. But after only 8 ½ months, and what seemed for no reason – the door closed! …And the tangible encounter was now gone.
But unable to accept the distant relationship with God that he now felt, and world religions seemed comfortable to accept, Rod found himself driven by an internal passion to “…find the answers for the unanswered questions”.
As a result, for the next 20 year Rod labored, studied, investigated, explored, and indirectly interviewed anyone he found who claimed to have had this God encounter. …All in an effort to find what had caused the door to close. And more important to Rod – what would now cause that door to reopen.
Yet despite all of his efforts, at forty years old, and finding himself still lost from this God intimacy - Rod gave up. …He simply gave up.
And that’s when it happened! Pulled off on the side of the road just north of San Antonio, Texas…in less than an hour – God quickly revealed to Rod what he had never found in 20 years of searching!
And as a result - the door for Rod would never be closed again!
For the next 28 years - in an effort to get it right (and as a theology major to know nothing had been missed), Rod met with those he trusted for counsel. And in his own meetings worked to “flesh out” the message to make sure he was communicating it as easily understandably as possible.
Noted London born theologian and orator Malcolm Smith, after going over the concept of the PROJECT with Rod for over a year remarked, “Rod, I believe this will cause the next great world revival! I believe it with all of my heart.”
Recently when asked about his own feeling toward the PROJECT, Rod replied, “…I’ve spent my life searching for answers to unanswered questions. Working to find anything that would to ease the discomfort of humans.”
“…But Stepping into God’s World? This is totally different!”
“I honestly believe…even if someone is an agnostic or atheist - if they are even remotely open…this project will provide undeniable, and even tangible proof that God exist!”
“…And for the believing person? Oh, this will redefine everything they have ever believed about God! …And cause relationship with God to now become something they could have only hoped it would be!”
